Usually, recommendation have emphasized that a diet which consists of large part of fruits, cereal, low fat foods, salt, and sugar, vegetables, medium amounts of meat, and whole-grain breads, are recommendations for patients with mesothelioma cancers, because they focus on high calorie and protein content. Addition of some eggs, and milk to the diet, and using extra sweetener, gravies and salad are recommended. Other recommendation may include adjusting cooking ways to include extra butter, margarine or oil. Foods with a high amount of fiber which can intensify treatment-related side effects should be reduced.
Feeding at this period can be a challenge.
